History

Saimoe was a tradition that was started by 2Ch user back in 2002. The rules back then were the same thoughout and just poked a little fun at the various anime characters at the time. When anime increased in popularity among worldwide participants, the tide of Saimoe really has changed. Some fans just think there is too much drama especially if the brawl is against two well known established characters.

Anyway, the first winner of Saimoe is Sakura Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura. The most recent winner of Saimoe goes to Rena Furude from Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni (When They Cry – Higurashi)
